Oops! I’m a Touch Behind…

Never a dull moment here in Canggu, Bali. Oh yeah, did I mention that Taylor and I finally made it here! We had three long days of layovers and airports, having our travel days look like this:

• Minneapolis -> Miami (4 hours)

• Miami -> Dubai (14 hours)

• Dubai -> Denpasar (9 hours)

*this doesn’t even include the actual layovers in each location :/ *

Nevertheless, we are here and it feels like a dream. The locals are so kind and always smiling. I want to say the food here is absolutely amazing, but even that doesn’t do it justice. The weather here is humid, but surprisingly, not overly hot. The rice fields are like something straight out of Mulan. There are adorable dogs roaming around all over the place. I could just go on and on.

Now you see, I was going to give you a nice little rundown of my first week here, but too much has already occurred. Luckily, I have created a new section of my blog, "“This Just In” (think of it as ‘breaking news’ and then add in a twist of Bailei). Within this new element of the blog, I will be giving entertaining life updates from here in Bali. My thought process is this - not every event is destined to have an entire blog log written about it, but some are still worth mentioning.

Anyhow, I cannot wait to start writing about my new life in Bali… stay tuned:)
